Younite 2012 Promo Night

Last night at Wednesday Night Worship we took a look at our upcoming Younite mission camp which will take place July 25-29.  Younite is our 2nd summer camp we do each year where we serve the community and spend time studying God's Word.  We watched a couple of the previous year's Younite videos and did the songs that we sang last year which were:  "Song of Hope" (Robbie Seay Band), "Oh Happiness" (David Crowder Band), "Starry Night" (Chris August), "Running to You" (Newsboys), and "Opposite Way" (Leeland).

This year's Younite theme is "Alive" and is based on Romans 6:11- Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.  What if we lived our lives as an act of worship to God?  Even though we have been made alive by Jesus Christ, we continue to lives our lives as though we are dead.  God has blessed us all with an incredible life, even when times are tough.  We should live our lives as an act of worship to God.  This is going to be our focus this year and our main theme song will be "Good to Be Alive" by Jason Gray.  I am excited with a couple changes we are making this year.  Our own student worship band will lead all of the worship services.  Also we are going to do all of the services in our youth house.  Each year we work hard to make it look cool to match the theme, so why not have our services there?  The cost per student is $35 which includes a t-shirt, all meals, etc.  Students must have all registration forms and payment turned in by July 8.  Join us in praying that God will use our students to impact our community, and at the same time be impacted by God.
